Lecture 7 Reflection

I have sort through "Lecture 7 entitled The Black Box" and have chosen the above work. It is a very intricate and enjoyable work to view, it most definitely quenches the eyes thirst. Upon first viewing this image i was dumb struck as to how the student has Incorporated different shapes, rigid, circular, hollow, solid and section pieces into a magnificent form of work and modern architecture. It seens so kaotic yet so organised, seem as though every piece is at the very right spot. I to appreciate the fact that it is water colour thus implying and notifying the audience that manual drafting techniques, in the application of architecture can still be applied in today's era. The colors chosen are a grey scale consisting of shades and heavy blacks, thus making the work alot bolder than if composed with the use of colors.

In my work, i tried to apply my personal thoughts and opinions taken from this work and create two laboratories and a meeting point for my two chosen clients. i have chosen a dark coloured meeting place, thus making it very bold, working together with the red lights, i aim to symbolise that upon meeting together they are capable of large marvelous ideas, thoughts and creative products that can and most probably will change their audience, yet the space upon which they meet is narrow and tall making them feel insignificant in contrast to the world, yet both clients are equal.

The drawing to contains a high degree of technicality, yet i personally believe that it contains much symbolism which i have extracted the works teaching and have applied it to my work.
